Artichoke worked with the interior designer Mark Gillette to develop the design of this curved bespoke kitchen in Yorkshire. The house itself is circular and the kitchen was designed to compliment its shape. All the panels, doors and drawers of this complex contemporary kitchen follow the same curve as the exterior of the property, with the datum being taken from a single point at the very centre of the building.
A curved glass back splash stands behind the hob, with an antiqued black Zimbabwe granite worktop adding a textured element to the kitchen. The kitchen scullery is hidden behind a secret door to allow the washing up elements to be hidden from view. A desk has also been designed into the end of the kitchen furniture.
Primary materials: Fumed eucalyptus, Calacatta Oro marble, antiqued black Zimbabwe granite, Corian and curved glass.
