Bespoke Dressing Room Design
Specialists in creating beautiful interiors and joinery, Artichoke has more than 25 years’ experience in bespoke dressing room design. We enjoy the challenges of creating beautiful bespoke dressing rooms that are elegant, functional and spacious, taking into account the very specific nature of each client’s unique storage requirements.
We have designed dressing rooms for a huge variety of buildings, from grand classical homes to contemporary properties. It is our goal to exceed our client’s expectations and to design and make spectacular rooms that fit beautifully within the architecture of each home. A dressing room is a highly personal area and it needs to be designed exactly to each client’s specifications to function. Understanding the types of clothes needed to be stored, how they need to be stored, what types of shoes and boots are owned or what kind of security needs are required for valuables all make a huge difference to the success of the finished creation.
Artichoke’s design team understands the importance of incorporating these small but important aspects of client lifestyles when completing dressing room design projects. Small details such as whether client’s generally hang or fold clothes or roll or fold ties make a huge difference to how each dressing room is created. We take the time to understand the way client’s live in their homes, ensuring we get these details right.
To that end we begin every dressing room design project by undertaking a full interview, spending time with you to fully understand your storage requirements. Only when we understand your needs can our designing process begin. We are also highly experienced in working with architects and interior designers, either as a part of a large project team or directly.
Dressing Room Case Study: Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Bespoke dressing room designed by Artichoke in the haberdashery style
Many of our projects involve working in stunning period properties and modernising them for 21st century living. However, we believe it is essential to do with this without compromising the architecture of the house. Working on a Queen Anne House in the Cotswolds, we were tasked with creating a beautiful boot room as well as a grand master dressing room which we designed without doors to free up space within the room. As with every project, it is important to ensure that each space we design fits in perfectly with the interiors within the rest of the home. Utilising handsome antiqued oak and hand-painted furniture, the dressing room had no doors to give the room a boutique flavour.
Dressing Room Case Study: Hampstead London
Artichoke specialise in creating bespoke dressing room furniture. We were commissioned to create a large set for a stunning property in Hampstead – they were to run for a total of over 12 metres. Over veneered with crown cut cedar with contrasting black walnut banding, the effect is both eye-catching and elegant.
Having designed commissions for properties in London, across the UK and internationally, we have designed everything from designing one off pieces to working on the full-scale redevelopment of a home in the Tuscan hills. Our design team are supported by a team of experienced cabinet makers that work out of purpose-built 14,000 square foot workshops in Somerset.
You can look through our extensive portfolio to see the projects we have worked on in the past. If any of the designs inspire you, please get in contact with us – we’d love to discuss your project with you.
