Bespoke kitchen design for a Kensington home
Finest Quality Bespoke Kitchens
Artichoke are specialists in bespoke kitchen design, calling on more than 25 years of experience to create kitchens for a wealth of clients in a stunning range of homes and architecture. Every project we take on is entirely unique and personalised, and by using only the finest quality materials, we have cultivated a reputation for excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
We are a small team of bespoke kitchen designers and cabinet maker bringing together artisan skills in a range of crafts, ensuring we have the ability to produce exceptional kitchens with beautiful period detail. We specialise in ensuring each kitchen maximises its potential, making smart use of space and designing around the way you cook, eat and live.
Based at our 14,000 square foot workshops in Somerset, we have completed projects in London, in country houses across the UK and internationally for discerning private clients. These are some of the kitchen projects we have designed in the past, and you can also browse through our extensive portfolio for a breakdown of recent commissions.
Artichoke designed this kitchen alongside Interior Designer Michael Smith. The room is influenced by the American East Coast and takes on a New England Hampton style. We used chromed door catches and glazed wall cabinets which are typical of kitchens of this type.
The green painted kitchen larder is more classical in style and was inspired by a piece of Dutch antique furniture. The batterie-de-cuisine over this island was designed to allow us to hang lights from, ensuring we did not have to integrate lights into the beautiful ceiling.
Our range of skills allow us to create striking kitchens, taking into account the period features of your home in our designs. As a part of a new-build extension of a Cotswold barn, we were tasked with bringing to life an urban rustic kitchen with both a classic but fresh feel. Working from the outside wall of the original barn, the team utilised distressed oak alongside stylish stainless steel and handsome Calacatta Oro marble. The stainless steel worktop was made from solid stainless steel which was welded and chased dry into the rubble wall.
Designing a tailored kitchen for a beautiful Queen Anne house is always a pleasure. As a part of a refurbishment project, Artichoke was commissioned to create a stylish new kitchen with a scullery in order to modernise the home. This project involved a huge array of specialist crafts including bespoke ironmongery for the cabinets as well as the installation of both stainless steel and Carrara marble worktops. A custom-made steel Belfast sink was an additional feature piece.
If you have a project that you are interested in working with Artichoke on, we would love to discuss it with you. Please contact us or submit a brochure request for more information.
