Project Manager
Artichoke is seeking an exceptional Project Manager with an interest in historical interior architecture and joinery, to join our established team delivering bespoke projects both in the UK and internationally.
An Artichoke Project Manager’s core responsibility is to profitably deliver projects from commissioning to completion, on time, to specification and always exceeding our clients’ high expectations.
You must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Leadership skills, self-motivation, able to resolve conflicts and inspire teams
- High personal standards and integrity
- Experience in presenting to and negotiating with clients
- Experience in delivering high end and complex building and joinery works with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role.
- A detailed understanding of building and timber technology, M&E / HVAC systems
- Rigorous attention to detail – numerate and with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident working with contractors, consultants, professional and technical staff
- Experienced in interior surveying
- Enthusiasm, positivity, with the ability to solve complex and challenging problems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD,
- Based in Cheddar, will involve UK and International travel

Senior Designer
We are seeking an experienced creative Senior Designer to join the design team based in Somerset (1/2 hour south of Bristol). We welcome applications from designers with a background in interiors and interior architecture for exceptional period properties.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the client’s brief and develop outstanding concept designs
- Drive design development across multiple projects
- Clearly express and communicate design strategy
- Visualise ideas through hand and digital media
- Lead a team in producing client presentations
Skills:
- Background in / passion for historical interior architecture, joinery, and furniture
- Project leadership and client relationship building
- Excels in hand drawn visualisation
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, 3D modelling
- 6 years+ professional experience and a portfolio of projects worked on at a high level

3D Visualiser
We are also seeking a creative 3D Visualiser, preferably with a background in historical interior architecture, joinery, or furniture (but not necessary), again based in Somerset.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside designers in translating the client’s brief
- Create visuals of detailed interiors to a high standard
- Contribute to multiple projects producing exceptional artistic / photo realistic images
Skills:
- Expert 3D CAD modeller, with material application and rendering
- An eye for composition, materials, lighting, storytelling, and multi-media presentations
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
- 3 years+ professional experience and a portfolio of projects worked on at a high level

Cabinet Maker
A surge in new clients means we are also in need of an experienced cabinet maker to join the team in Cheddar.
We are looking for makers who will relish the opportunity to make fine fitted furniture which will form an intrinsic part of some of Britain’s most celebrated traditional country house architecture. We need experienced makers who are obsessed with detail, unrelenting in pursuit of quality and love what they do.
The minimum requirement for application is a furniture or cabinet-making qualification or five years plus experience in a similar high end commercial cabinet making company.
Candidates must be skilled in all areas of cabinet making with excellent technical knowledge and understanding and experience in both solid and veneered work. You will also need to be able to demonstrate excellent hand and machine skills and to be able to make individual pieces, from start to finish, as well as working as part of a team on larger projects.
The successful applicant will be someone who meets the requirements outlined above, shares our values and is the right fit for Artichoke and the Production Team.
Pay is offered at competitive rates and based on experience.
